Northern Flicker

A Northern Flicker looks similar to a red bellied woodpecker, but the mustache is a giveaway.

This Northern Flicker flew into our window and knocked itself out, so we put it on the screened porch until it was feeling better.
He flew into our window and was dazed for awhile.  We let put him in our screened in porch until he could walk again and then Syd carried him outside and held him until he flew off.

Northern Flickers eat mainly ants and beetles.
