Little Miami River - Big Hybrid Striped Bass

A big hybrid striped bass was the hi-light of the trip.  These are a cross between a striper and a white bass.
Hybrid Striped Bass.

Adam with a nice channel.  We caught four or five big channels this trip.  A little unusual to catch that many on this stretch of river on crankbaits.  They must have been hungry.

A Freshwater Drum caught in slack water above a riffle.
Carpsucker.

Little Miami River - Canoe Camping Trip

Day 1 - Put in at Caesars Creek Public Access,

A nice sallmouth we caught just beyond the public access.

An old stone bridge over a creek coming in.
The bridge at I-71. Tallest bridge in the State of Ohio.

Small but pretty spotted bass.

Our campsite at Morgan's Riverside Campground.

The girls got a ride to the snack bar from the firewood delivery girl.  I guess this is glamping more than camping.

Second Day - That's Syd in the tube.  We only went a few miles the second day.  It started to look stormy.

An Eastern Spiny Softshell we picked up on day two.
